Mexican: Mezcal Margarita

Ingredients:

Procedure:

  1. Rub rim of glass with a slice of lime
  2. Fill a shallow bowl with salt (or ground chapulines), dip the rim into the salt until it is covered; set aside
  3. Muddle the jalapeño in a cocktail shaker
  4. Add mezcal, Cointreau, lime juice, and agave nectar to a cocktail shaker; shake or stir until combined
  5. Fill glass with ice, pour in the margarita mixture over the rocks
  6. Garnish with an extra lime slice if desired
